It's time to get real about self-care which is why today I'm showing you 3 hormone-balancing basics that cost you absolutely nothing that you can start right away.


Drink water darn it!

This probably sounds like a broken record to you by now, but guess what? If you are dehydrated you're stressing your adrenals out which consumes your feel-good progesterone levels. Without enough water your body thinks you're in danger, so drink up!


Tip!

Have a large glass of filtered water in the morning before you do anything else to wake up your systems. Adding a pinch of sea salt to your water is a bonus as it helps nourish your adrenals and keeps your brain sharp, so stop being afraid of salt.


Sleep baby sleep

I see you staying up late scrolling through Facebook and Netflix, not cool. Your hormones depend on you for restorative sleep so if you're getting up early but going to bed late this is bad news for hormone balance. You're stressing your body which fuels your symptoms, so get sleeping.


Tip!

Aim to be in bed by 10 and asleep by 10:30 and avoid devices and TV after 8. Sounds tough, but you want to feel better yes? It's time to get it together and take care of that beautiful body of yours.


Move yo body!

Exercise helps control blood sugar levels and cuts down on cravings so aim to get 30 minutes of movement at least 3-5 times a week. No, you don't need to join a gym, that's just a big fat road block that is standing in the way of your health, so tear that down right now. There is absolutely no reason nowadays to not workout from the comfort of your home. So get moving!
